Without a doubt, the best spring floral display in Aiken occurs each spring in Hitchcock Woods. If we get suitable conditions, the display can be spectacular! Although Kalmia grows throughout the woods, the best display is seen from the Kalmia Trail, which follows along the crest of a ridge, where you can look down into a valley completely covered in these flowering bushes.
