Get out and enjoy the summer air at this leisurely hike through Kathwood Ponds on July 30th! Explore the various ponds around Silver Bluff in Aiken, where wood storks, herons, and other waders and shorebirds regularly nest during the summer months. Field trips are open to the public at no charge, so we encourage everyone to come out and peep at the local wildlife on this charming and wholesome activity! Make sure to bring a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and water. Sturdy walking shoes and rain gear are recommended as well, depending on weather conditions.
Is there a meeting place and time for this walk?
Hi Carleen!
The meeting location is at Kathwood Ponds on Silver Bluff Road (where the pavement ends) at 8:00 AM. We hope you enjoy your trip!
