Joye in Aiken: New Orleans-Style Funeral Parade

Once again, Joye in Aiken opens their Festival week with a New Orleans-style Jazz Funeral Parade let by artistic director Riley Mulherkar and complete with beads, costumes, parasols, and a horse-drawn caisson! The parade begins and ends at the fountain on Newberry Street. Follow the band on foot through downtown or ride the City trolley - there will be lots of "joye" to come during the week, so let the good times roll!
